... for a little while anyway. Don't want to bore you all! Anyway, Renthal bars and Motrax mirrors are now in place.
Aside from the fact the bike is now starting to look nasty, the riding postion has been improved and visibilty behind me is 100% better, especially at speed. I'm now slighter further forward over the wheel and can tuck in better without those hideous old mirrors right in my face.

Looking very good Sparx. You've sold me on getting some Renthals and I've been meaning to get bar-end mirrors for ages (found some nice ones that Oberon make).
I've seen the Oberon mirrors mentioned on a couple of forums but I couldn't really afford them so I took the budget option.
Motrax do take a lot of stick about quality and service but I am genuinely impressed with the quality of these mirrors and was pleasantly suprised at how well they perform, especially compared to the OE ones.
As for the Renthals, what can I say, it's got to be done and they've got to be gold!
All I can say is, it's titties and beer.

The bike is looking good. Did I see a post from you at the week-end on a Honda VFR message board? Was helping a friend unsuccesfully tighten the chain on his bike. Said something on there about you having a Kawasaki and come here to find it's true!
Not the best weather for riding bikes at the moment though - is hotter than Hades at the moment outside!!!

Mad, I did consider Orange stripes but I wanted a bit of contrast. I'm glad I went the gold route now after seeing an orange ZX10R with orange pinstripes. The colours were just far enough apart to clash really badly.
Dom, no it wasn't me but weird! I could have offered advice as well as my Bros has the same single sided swingarm as a VFR and chain tightening was a pain without the right C Spanner.

Hopefully I'm about to aquire a lovely scorpion can from someone at work. I always regretted selling the Scorpion Titanium one that was on the bike when I bought it. Mind you it was ear bleedingly loud.
