Work has gone ballistic the same as last year. This time though i'm determined not to pull the plug on the blog, posts might just be few and far between for a while. Some news though. The 'Cat is being replaced with this:
About 45 minutes ago I put in my order for a BRAND NEW baby Zed courtesy of the guys at Seastar Superbikes. And yes it's orange (or Pearl Blazing Orange to give it it's full title)! Should be ready for me to pick up the day we get back from Corfu at the end of June.
As for the 'Cat, i'm afraid she's being part-exed down to our local scrappie, another victim of a world that puts style over substance. When a perfectly healthy, mechanically sound bike has to be put down because no-one can see past the cracked and fading bodywork then there is no hope for us. It will be a sad day indeed when I drop her off but she has a strong heart and decent boots so her demise could mean another Puss stays on the road.

Well not exactly the same as Mad's. As it's Orange it will obviously be about 5mph faster. And you're right, these fuckers getting new bikes. Wankers the lot of them :-D
Poor, poor Sparx, labouring under the misaprehension that Orange is faster. Black has long been shown to be the fastestestest colour!

Yeah, i've heard a little about this running in period. 1000 miles or something isn't it? Ah well, that'll be a month before I can give it some real juices. Gives me a chance to get used to a riding position with my arse lower than my head i s'pose.
Gotta say that's a beauty of a bike. But I have to agree with Mad, black is the way to go. But I am also biased, in that that I paint every bike I get black.
